"Over the Rainbow"
NEW STUDIO RECORDING
(with Bob Gates on acoustic guitar)

This recording features a mix of my regular diatonic harmonica playing (that's the ten-hole harmonica you know and love), plus a segment in the middle where I use a tremolo harmonica (all accompanied beautifully by Bob Gates on acoustic guitar.  This is a special kind of harp that you don't see much anymore in the United States; it's very popular in Asia and also in Irish folk music.   This is my first time to ever use this type of harmonica on a recording, and while I am anything but an expert on it, I think it adds a cool effect. (For you harmonica geeks out there, here's a link to more information about the tremolo harmonica.)

You can hear an excerpt of this recording on my myspace page.
